YES SCOTLAND - Announcement of a new portfolio (for german translation please scroll down):

On September 18, 2014, the Scottish people are required to decide by a vote, whether they will dissolve the combine with the United Kingdom and become an independent nation. It’s a great opportunity to declare one’s love by means of photography to this small but nevertheless proud country with its – until now, and since 300 years – unbroken guideline for freedom and independence that lives on in Scottish history and culture.

My photographic diary starts with a journey across the North Sea, heading for the Scottish East Coast near Edinburgh. For 31 days, i.e. until September 18, day by day, one new photography will be published as a homage to unique Scottish landscapes – thus corresponding superbly with their particular inhabitants. These photographs are emphasized by quotations from Robert Burns, Scotland’s national poet whose literary works follow nature. His creative powers draw confidence from nothing but enthusiasm for real life, idiomatic dialect, nothing but feelings, impressions, sensations from the depth of his heart and authentically experienced. His poems reflect alternating moods like joy and pain, hope, love, his attachment to the Scottish Highlands and to freedom, his dreams and his rebellion against restrictions of civilization.

"Despite all beauty, these pictures exude a sentiment of sadness, but also with a great feeling of beaming with happiness – silent history and silent witnesses of natural beauty."  (M.v.d.Burgt, Out Of The Blue Concept Store)

YES SCOTLAND - Neues Portfolio:

(M.v.d.Burgt, Out Of The Blue Concept Store )
